What Are You Playing With This YouTube Music Video?
A YouTube music video featuring a Christian song and dance song has been banned from being played on YouTube.
According to a statement from YouTube, “the video contains offensive content that violates YouTube’s community standards and is unacceptable in our community.”
In the video, a Christian woman is dancing to the song “Lullaby” by a Christian singer and songwriter.
In the lyrics, she says:”I’ll be a Lullaby for you/Lullabies can make you feel good, love you/Make you cry and make you want to be happy.”
According to the video’s description, the song, written by the singer Christian “Lillah” Stine, has been performed in churches and other settings for more than a decade.
YouTube said it had not received complaints about the video and that it would work with YouTube to remove it.
YouTube has been at the center of controversy in recent years for what critics say is a heavy-handed policy against conservative Christian groups and artists.
Last month, the Federal Communications Commission ruled that YouTube was violating free speech and fair use laws by censoring videos featuring clips from its videos hosted on the platform.
